Bookish Collages: The Tales of Beatrix Potter

Since I apparently have nothing better to do, I spent the better part of this week making book-themed collages. These three are Beatrix Potter-themed, mostly because Christmas is coming and nothing puts me in a Christmassy mood like The Tailor of Gloucester.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit
Once upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were—
Flopsy,
Mopsy,
Cotton-tail,
and Peter.

The Tale of Mr. Tod
I have made many books about well-behaved people. Now, for a change, I am going to make a story about two disagreeable people, called Tommy Brock and Mr. Tod.

The Tailor of Gloucester
But it is in the old story that all the beasts can talk, in the night between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the morning (though there are very few folk that can hear them, or know what it is that they say).

    1. Thanks! My favorite Beatrix Potter book is probably The Tailor of Gloucester, but I also love Peter Rabbit--when I was really little I had it memorized. Thanks for stopping by; I love your blog!

    1. We used to own most of her books bound together in one big volume, and I ADORED them. I've been having tons of nostalgic feelings for them lately, which inspired me to make these :) I'm glad you liked them--they were tons of fun to make!

  3. Awww this gives me warm fuzzies! <3 These were basically my childhood and I remember absolutely adoring them for a really long time. Now my little sister is just getting old enough to appreciate them, so they're coming off the shelf again and it's making me feel all teary sometimes 'cause I'm a nostalgic kid sometimes. xD

    1. I love the books, and I have a special place in my heart for 'The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends', which is a half-animated, half-live action TV show dramatizing most of the books. It's been a huge influence on me, even today :)
